Midpoint Evaluation

At this point, I have reached the production stage to my final major project and I am mostly happy with the work that I have produced lately. Though I have started my production later than I originally intended because of the amount of research and essay work I did to help support the development to my project idea. This will take action on changing up the weekly plan schedules to my proposal sheet. As for my time management schedules, I will make sure to plan ahead and write up the daily activities for the week. This will help me on what work I need to stay focus on and finish before progressing onto the next activity.

As for the project itself, I am happy to see it progress towards a positive direction for its final outcome. The research that I gathered and recorded onto my blog proved its usefulness, by giving me the knowledge on how to visually create a convincing story suitable for my animated movie trailer. It provided me with ideas on how to structure a story script through 3 acts and to how visually show its meaning through various camera angles, compositions and mainly animation. I reflected back on these idea techniques and adapt them through my own script and storyboards. As for my project’s concept, I have looked into various animation shorts and concept art based on a post-apocalyptic setting. I found it to be a great influence for me to develop my own ideas on character designs, art style, and animation techniques.

From this point, I will continue to come up with solutions to help me produce my animated movie trailer while also recording the process onto my blog. Throughout it’s production, I will be recording about the techniques that learned and what problems that I have encountered while producing it. By doing this, I could use this example to learn from these lessons/mistakes and reflect back from it to achieve success on this and other potential future projects. I aim to get this animated movie trailer finished before the final deadline day within the scheduled time given in the final major project.
